The Fire Department of Liberty Township is seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Operator to join our team in Clayton. This is a full-time, remote position ideal for an entry-level professional looking to build a career in public safety administration. As a Data Entry Operator, you will work with sensitive fire and emergency services information, ensuring that every record is entered correctly and promptly. Responsibilities

• Enter and update data into department databases and record management systems
• Verify accuracy and completeness of information before entry
• Review and correct discrepancies in existing records
• Maintain organized digital files and documentation for fire and emergency service records
• Prepare and process routine reports as requested by supervisors
• Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
• Respond to data-related inquiries from department staff
• Assist with scanning, digitizing, and archiving physical documents
• Follow established data entry procedures and quality standards
• Collaborate with team members to improve data accuracy and workflow

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Entry-level experience; prior data entry or clerical experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic proficiency with computers and data entry software
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
• Good typing speed and accuracy
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable home workspace
